The San Juan Excursion
Several excursions were planned for San Juan.
Ted Raimi and I were to take some fans into San Juan's old city for a walking
tour. As we left the ship, we were told that all the excursions were
canceled. Apparently there was some sort of strike in the city and we
were told that the center of town was blocked with trucks. If we wanted
to attempt to go into town, we were on our own. Ted and I were game to
give it a try. Several fans were up for it so we grabbed some taxis and
headed in. The "traffic" was no worse than mid-day Los Angeles traffic.
In ten minutes, we were in Old San Juan. We spent the day there, had a
great time, and grabbed taxis to head back. The time back to the ship?
Less than five minutes. We had a great time.
