I don't have to tell you about the disaster in the Southern States due to the recent Hurricanes. Turn on the news and you can see the suffering. It's real.
We are all good at shaking our heads, feeling sympathy and, perhaps, a giving a little thanks to God that it wasn't us. That's human. But giving when people are in dire need, that's humanity.
I'm asking you to just take a moment, look in your purse or wallet, and send something, any amount, to help these people. No amount is too small. Believe me, NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL.
The Red Cross and other agencies have asked, specifically, for funds. Donations of goods are fine, but doesn't have the immediate impact that money has. Below is a list of agencies that are actively working to relieve the suffering there. Pick one of them, pick all of them or find another that I haven't listed yet. Donate online or mail a check. Specify that your money is to go toward their Hurricane fund.
As those of you who understand, this is what THE GREATER GOOD is all about.
